MARKET AND LANSDOWNE

The Market and Lansdowne bars are located on the ground floor and are fully accessible with access to disabled facilities.

The Market Bar overlooks the beautiful Market Place and boasts a huge inglenook fireplace (in use during the winter months) and the original 16th century oak floor.

The Lansdowne Bar has a fireplace used in the winter months, and plenty of comfortable chairs in which to relax and listen to the gossip of the town. For hundreds of years, local issues of the day have been argued and debated in this bar and you can almost feel the presence of Cromwell's men outside in the Market Place. Behind the bar you will see a unique wall of Delft tiles - quite a talking point for many a first time visitor.

In both bars you can sample one of the three always available Wadworth Ales (such as 6X, IPA, Summersault, Bishops Tipple, Old Timer) or choose from one of the 15 glasses of wine on our extensive 50 bin wine list.

These bars are also extremely popular meeting places for locals who sit and enjoy fresh coffee and a slice of home made cake.
